Tamara Whitworth

Tamara Whitworth began her journey to better health over 10 years ago when a visit to the doctor revealed she had high cholesterol. Developing healthier eating habits proved easy, but finding a fitness activity that she would stick with was another story, until she discovered yoga. Yoga offered the physically challenging workout she wanted without the competitiveness of the other activities she had tried. Tamara also quickly realized that yoga had more to offer than her newfound physical strength. She felt happier after each class. She became calmer and able to accept new challenges with excitement. Yearning to understand more, she pursued her yoga teacher certification. Tamara now combines her education in Psychology and Communications with her training in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga to create a practice that not only challenges the physical body, but also cultivates an awareness of the breath and explores the influence of the mind. She believes that ones yoga journey is ever evolving and provides her students with a safe, fun and nurturing environment where they can explore their own personal path to health.
