Christine FelsteadChristine Felstead started her yoga journey in 1996, with one class a week and primarily motivated to improve her slumping posture. After discovering and experiencing the Ashtanga practice she made the mammoth decision to replace her running shoes with a yoga mat. She has successfully married her twin passions for yoga and running by pioneering the development of Yoga for Runners and today is the leading authority on the practice. Her classes integrate alignment principles with fun and challenging Vinyasa sequences. Christine continues to evolve as a teacher primarily through the experience of her own practice and witnessing the effects of the practice on her students. While Christine embraces the 8 limbs of yoga, she is keenly interested in the anti-aging effects of yoga – that is using yoga to maintain a strong and supple body and mind! Christine is a graduate of Downward Dog’s Teacher Training and has continued studying with amazing teachers: Mahyar Raz, Richard Freeman, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, Nicki Doane, Eddie Modestini, Hart Lazer and David Robson.
